General Duties: The Tech Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting customer service and infrastructure technicians.
Inventory: The Tech Assistant will help manage new deliveries, inventory and testing of new computer hardware in our Bridgewater, NJ datacenter. They will also handle taking pictures, shipping and packaging of both sold items and returns.
Consumer Hardware: The Tech Assistant will be responsible for working with consumer PC hardware such as desktop and mobile workstations, displays, peripherals and more. They will need to assist the customer service team with preparing and deploying consumer hardware to customer sites. They will handle the replacement of defective computer hardware at customer sites.
Software: The Tech Assistant will be responsible for working primarily with Microsoft Windows 10 and Apple macOS.
Collaboration: The Tech Assistant will work closely with multiple team members and leaders on various tech and non-tech projects and tasks.
Knowledge: The Tech Assistant must have a basic understanding and interest in learning of computer hardware at both the consumer and server level.
Maintenance: The Tech Assistant will be responsible to schedule and facilitate maintenance on NetFire's vehicle fleet which is currently located at our Bridgewater, NJ datacenter.

Education: High School degree or equivalent degree required. Relevant certifications including Cisco CCENT, Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, A+, and Net+ will be considered, but not required for this entry level position.
Experience: Basic experience with consumer computer hardware and software is required. Server, network and systems administration experience and datacenter work experience is a big plus.
Other: Valid NJ Driver's License with a clean driving record is required as the job will require you to drive NetFire fleet vehicles.
