Role Summary
The Payroll Specialist will assist the Payroll Lead in delivering payroll and tax services for the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. He/She will be the primary lead for Canada Payroll and must be fluent in French.
Responsibilities:
Payroll & Tax
Review and audit payroll registers prior to transmitting to supplier for salaried and non-exempt employees.
Monitoring and processing of hours via ADP eTime time and attendance system.
Manage escalations and inquires related to payroll, time and attendance, and tax.
Collaborate with supplier to ensure compliance and accuracy of all payroll activities.
Annual payroll and tax activities such as year end, W2s.
Other payroll, audit, and tax related activities and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
A minimum 4 years' relevant experience in Payroll with Tax exposure
Fluent in French language to support Canadian Payroll requests and escalations
Experience with the ADP COS model preferred
Experience with ADP eTime time and attendance system preferred
ADP Smart Compliance navigation experience preferred
CPP or FPC Certification preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive and proactive working attitude and high energy level with strong customer service mindset.
Solid analytical skills including the ability to identify trends and implement process improvements.
Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges and work under pressure. The ability to research complex situations and convey recommendations to stakeholders.
Demonstrated project ownership and accountability
