Description
Parking company based in Newark, NJ seeks motivated individual with superior organizational skills for full charge bookkeeper role. The position is responsible for daily processing of payments along with standard accounting duties, including maintaining accounts, invoicing, collections, journal entries, and deposits. Job Responsibilities
Complete daily reports on parking tickets; organize and store parking tickets and reports
Manage accounts and historical records
Maintain accounting filing system
Ensure accurate billing and accounts receivable
Record cash receipts and make bank deposits daily
Issue invoices to customers
Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy
Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Post revenues and expenses into general ledger, AP/AR
Work closely with parking lot attendants to ensure accounts are accurate and quality control standards are met
Calculate budget variances and report significant issues to management
Provide general office support
Communicate professionally at all times with customers; relay information to team and principals as necessary
Qualifications
Previous experience in accounts reconciliation/accounts receivable /general accounting
Independent and strong work discipline
Prior experience and notary certification are a plus
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
Superior organizational skills and follow up required
Hard working, proactive, diligent, honest, ethical and friendly
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and have familiarity with Adobe
